Westview Sailing is an RYA recognised training centre in Chalfont St. Peter, Buckinghamshire, UK


We are pleased to offer the following RYA courses:

  • RYA Day Skipper shorebased - Our Day Skipper course runs over 7 weeks, one evening (1830 – 2130) a week and then a full weekend. cost £325pp + £25 for a Plotter and Dividers set. Next DS course starts Tuesday 3rd April, 2012

  • RYA Yachtmaster shorebased - As with Day Skipper shorebased, the Yachtmaster course runs over 8 weeks, one evening a week and ends with a full weekend. Cost £350pp + £25 for a Plotter and dividers set, if required

  • RYA VHF DSC - This is a one day course which we hold in Chalfont St. Peter, Bucks. We will announce dates for our next VHF SRC course, shortly. Courses runs from 0930 to 1730 and the cost is £95 plus £30 for the lifetime certificate. Call 01753 890555

  • RYA Radar - This is a one day course. We run these during the year. Call for details of our next course.


    • At Westview Sailing, an RYA approved school, you will find our courses relaxed, enjoyable, instructive and ideal for busy people. We don't do the intensive 5 day course because we find that the 7 week (one night a week) plus one weekend course or either of our NEW 3 weekend courses allow for a more manageable pace and far better retention of the syllabus. All ages and levels of experience are welcome.
